Stuttgart, March 12th 2025 - MARKT-PILOT has been awarded the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001 certification at the end of February, demonstrating its commitment to information security. With this step, the software provider for market-oriented spare parts pricing in the mechanical engineering industry emphasizes its strong awareness of the protection of customer data, sensitive company information, and the entire IT infrastructure.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the world's leading standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It defines the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an ISMS. The goal is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and to minimize risks. At MARKT-PILOT, this includes data and information protection, risk management processes, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, process optimization, and deepening security awareness throughout the company.
As part of the ISO 27001 certification, existing security controls and development processes were specifically optimized and aligned with the international standard. The Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) ensures that security requirements are integrated early in the development process. In addition, the cloud infrastructure has been hardened and access mechanisms refined to protect sensitive data as effectively as possible.
Security measures for customer data and cloud backups have also been comprehensively reviewed and adapted to current requirements. The incident response process for customer inquiries was also refined, and a standardized procedure for handling sensitive customer information securely was established to further strengthen data protection and transparency.
The company SBcert, which was commissioned with the audit, expressly emphasized the high quality of the documentation and structure of MARKT-PILOT's ISMS.
