Rainer Hundsdörfer, former CEO of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, will support MARKT-PILOT'S business development department as a Senior Advisor starting October 17th, 2022.
Rainer Hundsdörfer is an experienced industrial and mechanical engineer with a 35-year career in leading positions at international machine manufacturing companies. He dedicated the last 20 years as CEO of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, before rising to Chairman of the Board. Additionally, he is active in the Economic Council of the CDU as Vice Chairman of the Commission for Artificial Intelligence and in various VDMA committees. His career experience will be a great addition to MARKT-PILOT's AI-based software PRICE-RADAR. Our software enables machine manufacturers to realize untapped price and revenue potential in their spare parts business, sustainably increase sales and profits, and strengthen customer relationships by producing full market transparency for the first time.
"I have spent my entire life in machine manufacturing and know that companies need to rethink their approach if they want to remain successful in the future. MARKT-PILOT is not just another software start-up but has created a unique value proposition for itself and solves one of the key challenges in the industry - safeguarding the extremely important spare parts business through intelligent spare parts pricing," says Hundsdörfer.
After Heidelberg, the veteran engineer is now visiting the old town of Esslingen and a much younger company. "I find it fascinating how the founders are rethinking existing digital technology and making it usable for machine manufacturing in a profitable, innovative way. You can tell that the team comes from the industry itself, and I look forward to providing strategic and operational support here in the future," Hundsdörfer further commented.
Founder and CEO Tobias Rieker is also looking forward to the collaboration: "With Rainer Hundsdörfer, we have brought an absolute expert into the team. He has extensive experience and has proven his competence in machine manufacturing for years."
